Meet The Cook

The master chef behind all the delicious food at Smokin' BBQ is Ms. Wendy Kaye Woods.

 

Ms. Woods is a native of New Orleans where as a child she grew up around lights and music, parades, Po' Boy sandwiches, shrimp, gumbo, homemade soup, oyster cheese, roast beef, and the smell of beignet coffee.

 

She was immersed in the culture, Creole, Cajun, and Chinese cooking. It was a party city of great foods and entertainment. She grew up around the French Quarter with the daiquiri shops, jazz people dancing in the streets, the St. Louis Cathedral on Rampart Street along the Armstrong Park, and every good thing in New Orleans. There was always something to do, somewhere to go, and something to eat.

 

Ms. Wendy knew that she wanted to be a cook to share all of these great experiences with the world!
